Building Bridges: Acknowledging Children’s First Languages

Our research was focused on determining the effect of a dual language reading program on young children’s literacy acquisition within a multilingual/cultural school environment and to investigate the role of teachers and readers and what best practices enable them to create the effective literacy program.
